This is something hard to put into practice, especially in areas where plastic is king, such as some types of furniture.&nbsp; In pursuit of an ecological and sustainable option, Tramontina presents, in partnership with Braskem, the Jet and Paco ECO armchairs. The products are made of I’m Green bio-based plastic, Braskem’s sustainable innovation. It is the world’s first polyethylene of renewable origin produced on an industrial scale. The raw material used in the armchairs is sugarcane, processed in a way that lets it offer the same physical characteristics as conventional polyethylene.&nbsp;<img src="https://s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/prd-assets-portal.tramontina.com/Banner_Jet_e_Paco_ECO_600x600_4722670db9.png" alt="" width="300px"> Strength and sustainabilityOne of the product’s main distinctions is its production process: the sugarcane manufacturing process enables the capture of carbon dioxide (CO2), which helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere. Green polyethylene is also 100% recyclable – what is captured remains fixed throughout the product’s life cycle. Armchairs offer the same strength, durability and weight as chairs made of fossil-based plastic.
