A good afternoon tea with the family is not complete without bountiful sweets table. Our suggestion for the next family gathering is a yogurt cake, a simple and nostalgic preparation, with the taste and smell of childhood!
Made with ingredients that everyone has in their pantry, it is made in the blender and is super versatile: it can be served with afternoon tea or as part of a sumptuous breakfast... and it can be flavored with different syrups, such as orange syrup, lemon glaze or berry jam, as just a few suggestions.
Recipe: Yogurt cake

Yields 10 servings
Ingredients
4 eggs
200 ml plain yogurt
200 ml oil
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
Preparation method
Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF).
Grease a tube pan measuring approximately 25 cm in diameter.
In the blender, beat the eggs, yogurt, oil and one cup of sugar.
In a bowl, place the rest of the sugar, the flour and baking powder and mix well.
Combine the liquid with the dry ingredients and mix.
Pour the cake batter into the pan and put it in the oven.
Bake at 180 °C (350 °F) for 35 minutes. To see if the cake is ready, test it with a toothpick, which should come out clean.
Take it out of the oven and let it cool before turning it out of the pan.
After unmolding, sprinkle confectioner’s sugar or citrus fruit zest over the cake.
