The colder seasons are not only about pleasing the palate.

The colder seasons are not only about pleasing the palate.

Even if you are not a fan of the fall/winter season, you may well enjoy some of the pleasures that accompany the cold weather. If the heat inspires us to enjoy moments outdoors, the lower temperature and the sound of rain make us more introspective.
And hungrier too.

The body needs to warm up when it’s cold, so high-calorie foods like pasta, risottos and pizza are appetizing. When harmonized with wine, they really make the mouth water.

Those who prefer a lighter meal can opt for the traditional charcuterie board or add soups and broths with crackers or croutons.

Autumn and winter are not only made of flavors, however. In addition to taste, take the opportunity to stimulate your other senses. Try starting your day enjoying the delightful aroma of coffee or herbal tea, feeling the comforting touch of putting on a wool sweater or jacket.

At the end of the day, snuggle up in the armchair and pull up a blanket to watch your favorite series in the company (also) of a bucket of popcorn or listen to a playlist of relaxing music in front of the fireplace.

Enjoy the tips? Have a good cold season out there!
