Tips to stimulate creativity and routine in children with hidden needs

There are different ways to support childhood, find out tips to make the most of your child’s journey.

To create an inclusive environment with children, it is important to recognize that people have different appearances and characteristics, all of which are unique and valuable, regardless of whether they are considered the conventional standard or have particularities.  This involves a wide variety of characteristics, including giftedness, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), among others.

It is part of our understanding that each child is unique, and the goal should be to identify their individual abilities and help them thrive in the best way possible. Some stand out for their talents, unique skills and unique challenges. Today, we have selected some tips to enrich your little ones’ journey by encouraging creativity.

Encourage creative play and discovery

Creativity is a skill that can be cultivated in all children, regardless of their peculiarities. Outdoor exploration is a resource with many possibilities and the space necessary to explore various activities, such as arts, music, dance and science. Encourage them to discover their interests independently.

Foster curiosity

Encourage children to ask questions and look for different answers to the same question. This not only develops critical thinking skills but also feeds children’s natural curiosity.

Collaboration

Promote social interactions through artistic and sporting expressions, such as games, dance, music, theater and sports. Cooperation and teamwork are important for the creative development of children, as well as leadership and teamwork.

Create a schedule of routines

It is an essential item for the healthy growth of children, and is even more vital for those with hidden needs, who may face extra challenges in managing time and tasks. A schedule of routines that includes times for tasks, meals and leisure time. It is very important that the activities are visible to the child so that they can follow their responsibilities independently!

Support

Remember that encouragement is essential at any stage of childhood. And there is nothing like doing it through everyday items. With this in mind, Tramontina is launching Beni set, made up of the Versa table, which already came with the possibility of opening the cover to organize materials in the internal part, and which now has an Activity Board – developed in partnership with ZON Design – helping the child to plan their routine. The board helps organize simple tasks, such as breakfast, shower, even school activities. Furthermore, both the table and the chair gained new colors, in more sober tones – blue and pastel pink.

A TAG was added next to the Sofia chair, with technical information about the product. On the table, there is a sticker half in blue and half in green, with yellow sunflowers, a symbol that characterizes hidden needs.

Actively participate in the childhood stages, with love and responsibility, so that they flourish and do well in every part of their life.  Now, with the Beni set, you can also count on Tramontina to assist your little ones and bring more autonomy to their every accomplishment.  Beni set is ideal for all children from 3 years of age and is now available on e-commerce and in Tramontina’s own stores. You are part of the journey of children discovery, make the most of every moment possible!
