The quick guide to understanding the terms and buying your new Tramontina pan

In the search for your new pan, have you come across the terms triple-bottom, Starflon and nonstick, but you don’t know what they mean? Then this tip is for you.

Understand what each of these terms mean and their importance in our pans.

Nonstick

Like the name says, it allows for cooking with food sticking to the bottom. Because of this, it is much easier and faster to clean. When washing, always use the soft side of the sponge.

Starflon
This is the technology found in all Tramontina nonstick pans. Starflon increases nonstick, abrasion resistance and durability characteristics. The Paris Cookware Set is a good example for you to look good in the kitchen.

It warrants reminder that cookware with this technology requires special care before the first use. So first of all, wash with a soft sponge and mild soap or detergent. Dry, grease the inside area and put it on the heat for one or two minutes. Allow to cool and then wash again. And that’s it. It’s ready for use.

Triple Bottom
These are made of stainless steel and have a three-layer bottom. This allows the heat to spread more easily and quickly in the pan. So at first, if you have never used a pan like this, you will need to modify the way you cook a little in order not to burn anything. But once you master the cooking time, you will find that because the heat is spread evenly throughout the pan, the food will taste better. The Solar Cookware Set is a good example of stainless steel cookware with triple bottom.

Be careful not to use high heat on this type of pan so as not to cause stains.
