FINEP – Financer of Studies and Projects, grants reimbursable and non-reimbursable financing. Finep’s support covers all stages and dimensions of the scientific and technological development cycle: basic research, applied research, innovations and the development of products, services and processes. Finep also supports the incubation of technology-based companies, the establishment of technology hubs, the structuring and consolidation of research processes, development and innovation in already established companies, and the development of markets. Moreover, as of 2012, Finep also started offering support for the implementation of a first industrial facility, as well as incorporations, mergers and joint ventures.

PBE is an energy conservation program that, through informative labels, aims to guide the consumer regarding the energy efficiency of products sold in the country. The aim of this program is to stimulate rationalized energy consumption through the use of more efficient products. Labeling allows the consumer to evaluate the various products with regard to their energy efficiency and to select those that will bring the greatest savings during use.
