Learn how to make a delicious chocolate pavê

The chocolate lovers know it: there’s no more versatile ingredient than chocolate. From a simple chocolate bar from the store to the most elaborate desserts. Here’s an idea of what to do with this item: a delicious chocolate pavê to put in the refrigerator and come back to when you feel that chocolate urge hitting.
Because there is nothing better than something sweet after lunch, is there? And in the middle of the afternoon, too. Or, who knows, after dinner? Truthfully, any time is a good time to sweeten up your life. And here we have a special recipe to do just that. Check out the step-by-step instructions!
Ingredients
Topping:
3 egg whites;
½ cup sugar;
1 can cream.
Cream filling:
3 egg yolks;
1 (can or box) sweetened condensed milk 395 g;
1 equal measure (same as the can) of whole milk;
½ tablespoon cornstarch.
Assembly:
1 cup milk;
3 tablespoons chocolate powder;
1 package of plain cookies or sweet crackers;
50 g semisweet chocolate shavings.
Instructions
Topping:
In a sauce pan on low heat, combine the egg whites and sugar, mixing vigorously for around 3 minutes. Remove the sauce pan from the heat for a few moments every minute without stopping mixing so that the whites do not cook. Transfer to a mixer and beat until it doubles in volume. Delicately add the cream and set aside.
Cream filling:
In a sauce pan on low heat, add the yolks, sweetened condensed milk, whole milk, and cornstarch, mixing until thickened. Let cool and set aside.
Final assembly:
In a bowl, combine milk and chocolate powder. Moisten half of the cookies in this mixture and lay them in a round or rectangular (30 x 19 cm) container or in dessert containers for individual servings. Spread the cream filling over the cookies. Add another layer of moistened cookies and, finally, the topping. Garnish with chocolate shavings and put in the refrigerator for around 4 hours.
