There are records that it was created in France, but the United States naturalized the pancake and, today, it is one of the essential items in the North American breakfast. A pancake is a type of frying pan cake prepared with milk, egg and flour. Therefore, it is confused with crepe and waffle which have the same ingredients. The crepe is thinner and served folded, while the waffle is fluffier and crispier on the outside, containing a greater amount of milk, butter and egg, in addition to having a characteristic relief shape. Ingredients
2 eggs
220 g flour
500 ml milk
50 ml oil
Butter for frying
Blueberries and raspberries
Confectioner’s sugar for dusting
Preparation method
Beat the eggs and gradually add the flour.
Add the milk and oil, mixing well until it forms a liquid and smooth dough.
In a hot frying pan, melt a dot of butter and pour a small ladle of the mixture.
Brown on one side, turn and brown on the other, and stack the pancakes to keep them warm and not dry out.
To serve, fold the pancakes and sprinkle with icing sugar and decorate with blueberries and raspberries.
